Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Service/Retail Advisor to join our automotive service team. The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring their vehicle maintenance needs are met with exceptional service. This role involves advising customers on necessary repairs, upselling additional services, and maintaining a high standard of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, mechanical knowledge, and a keen eye for detail to deliver an outstanding service experience.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and establish rapport to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
Recommend appropriate maintenance or repair services based on manufacturer guidelines and customer requests
Upsell additional services or products to maximise customer satisfaction and workshop profitability
Prepare detailed work orders, ensuring accuracy in descriptions of required repairs and services
Liaise with technicians to communicate customer concerns and ensure timely completion of work
Handle transactions accurately and process payments efficiently
Provide clear explanations of repair procedures, costs, and timelines to customers
Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly
Maintain organised records of customer interactions, services performed, and sales activities

Experience

Previous experience in a customer service role within the automotive industry.
Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with vehicle systems is advantageous for understanding repair requirements and upselling opportunities
Proven ability to upsell products or services in a retail or service environment
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to customers
Experience handling cash transactions accurately and confidently
