Full job description

Since Bartletts Solicitors was established in 1860 we have prided ourselves on providing a range of quality legal services for all our clients.

We currently require an experienced fee earner, at our Wrexham City centre office dealing with a Claimant Personal Injury caseload of EL, PL and RTA cases.

Ideally you will have a minimum of 12 months recent experience working in a Claimant personal injury environment. You should be able to work independently and be a confident and organised individual who is able to work on your own initiative. You should also be familiar with Microsoft Office and case management systems, and have strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Key tasks include -

Undertake fee-earning work. In particular: -

File creation on our Proclaim case management system;
Generation of suitable client care correspondence;
Interviewing clients and witnesses and preparing statements;
Entering cases onto the Claims Portal, processing payment of Stage 1 costs, preparing stage 2 packs, preparing and issuing Stage 3 proceedings
Drafting documents/pleadings;
Instructing experts/counsel;
Pursuing cases through correspondence and court proceedings:
Negotiating on behalf of clients by telephone and correspondence;
Attendance at routine directions/interlocutory hearings;
Advising clients, orally, in writing and by telephone, in the office, at court and elsewhere;

Office: 5 Charles Street, Wrexham, LL13 8BT
Hours: 9:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday to Friday, 1 hour for lunch (35 hours per week)
Duration: Full (Part-time considered).

We offer a competitive salary and a pension scheme (with a 6.5% employer pension contribution and death in service cover) after 12 months completed service.
