Nursery Lunch Cover Assistant – Chelmsford, Essex

Nursery: kinderzimmer Chelmsford Day Nursery, 140 Mildmay Road, CM2 0EB
Job Type: Part-time, 4 hours per day (11am to 3pm)
Salary: Up to £13.77 per hour (depending on qualifications and experience).

The setting

kinderzimmer Chelmsford Nursery is a unique and enchanting early childhood haven nestled in a quiet residential area just a short distance from Chelmsford train station and local bus routes. Our 84-place nursery, housed in a characterful detached building across two floors, exudes charm and warmth. The light-flooded rooms provide a welcoming atmosphere for our little learners to explore and thrive. With a separate enclosed sandpit for outdoor play and a dedicated kitchen area, we encourage a holistic approach to education, allowing children to not only discover the joy of learning but also to appreciate the world around them. What you will be doing

Cover in nursery rooms to release staff for their lunch breaks, maintaining a safe and stimulating environment for the children.
Supervise children during lunchtime, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Assist in setting up and tidying away lunch areas, including tables, chairs, and food service stations.
Engage with children in positive interactions, encouraging good table manners and social skills.
Support the nursery staff in implementing dietary guidelines and accommodating any special dietary needs or allergies among the children.
