Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Receptionist/Trainee Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing a career in dental nursing while gaining valuable experience in patient care and administrative duties. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, supporting the dental team, and assisting with clinical tasks as part of their training. Responsibilities

Welcome patients warmly and ensure a smooth patient journey from arrival to departure
Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, and reminders efficiently using IT systems
Assist dental professionals during procedures, including preparing and sterilising equipment
Support with patient care activities under supervision, ensuring comfort and safety
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with data protection regulations
Handle telephone enquiries professionally, providing information and booking appointments as needed
Keep the reception area tidy, organised, and welcoming at all times
Participate in ongoing training to develop skills as a dental nurse

Qualifications

Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and team members
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Basic IT literacy, including experience with scheduling software or electronic health records preferred
Knowledge of patient care principles and nursing practices is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
Fluency in English is required to ensure clear communication with patients and staff
Prior experience in a customer service or healthcare environment is advantageous but not mandatory
A genuine interest in pursuing a career in dental nursing and willingness to undertake training as a Trainee Dental Nurse

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
