Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Building Site Labourer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting various site activities, assisting with labour-intensive tasks, and ensuring the smooth progress of building projects. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience within the construction industry and contribute to high-quality projects. The role involves working on-site in a dynamic environment, adhering to safety standards, and collaborating with skilled tradespeople.

Responsibilities

Assist with the loading and unloading of materials and equipment on site.
Support tradespeople by preparing work areas, including cleaning and organising tools and materials.
Carry out manual tasks such as digging, lifting, and moving materials as directed.
Help with the erection of scaffolding, barriers, or other temporary structures.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by clearing debris and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Follow instructions from supervisors regarding daily tasks and project requirements.
Assist with site logistics, including transporting materials around the site using wheelbarrows or other equipment.
Support in setting up safety signage and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

No formal qualifications are required; however, previous experience in construction or labouring roles is advantageous.
Good physical fitness and stamina for manual labour tasks.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Strong team player with good communication skills.
Basic understanding of health and safety procedures on construction sites.
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks as required.
Valid UK driving licence is essential
Cscs card required
