Acomb Primary are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic class teacher for Year 6 for 3 days per week. You will be job sharing with one of our assistant headteachers, working Wednesday to Friday.

We are looking for a teacher with the potential to be an excellent classroom teacher. The role includes taking full responsibility for the class for three days, with a share of whole class and wider school responsibilities such as:

Communicating with parents
Attending CPD including staff meetings
Running parents’ evening meetings
Completing assessments and examining data alongside colleagues
Keeping classroom and shared area displays in line with school policies
Keeping the classroom environment as a stimulating and engaging place to learn

You must be flexible, adaptable, hardworking and have a good sense of humour.

You will work as part of a phase team alongside experienced teachers.
