Job Overview

Join our vibrant team as a Barista at Valeria Italian Coffee Shop located within the York Designer Outlet! In this energetic role, you'll be the friendly face that greets customers, crafting delicious coffee beverages and providing exceptional service that keeps guests coming back. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming atmosphere where quality and customer satisfaction are at the forefront. Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of high-quality coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and care
Engage with customers in a friendly, energetic manner, ensuring their experience is memorable and enjoyable
Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling pastries, snacks, and light menu items according to safety standards
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station, adhering to food safety regulations at all times
Manage card register operations accurately, including taking payments and giving change using basic math skills
Ensure timely delivery of orders by managing multiple tasks efficiently through effective time management
Follow all food safety protocols to uphold hygiene standards and ensure customer safety

Qualifications

Prior experience as a barista or in serving roles is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
Knowledge of food safety practices to maintain cleanliness and comply with health regulations
Ability to perform food preparation tasks with attention to detail and quality standards
Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently without compromising service quality
Basic math skills for card handling, measuring ingredients, and inventory checks
Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members
A proactive attitude with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service
