Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Hair Stylist to join our dynamic salon team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hair styling, barbering, and customer service, with the ability to lead and mentor junior staff. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills, expand your expertise in specialised treatments such as eyelash extensions and makeup application, and contribute to a welcoming client experience. A comprehensive understanding of store management and upselling techniques is essential to maximise client satisfaction and salon success.

Duties

Deliver a wide range of hair styling services including cuts, colours, blow-drys, and specialised treatments
Perform barbering services with precision and professionalism
Provide specialised beauty treatments such as eyelash extensions and professional makeup application
Offer exceptional customer service by understanding client needs and providing tailored advice
Manage front desk responsibilities including appointment scheduling, client consultations, and payment processing
Mentor and support junior stylists to develop their skills and ensure high standards of service
Upsell products and additional services to enhance client satisfaction and increase revenue
Assist with store management tasks such as stock control, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring health & safety compliance
Build lasting relationships with clients through personalised care and professional communication

Requirements

Proven experience as a Hair Stylist with a strong portfolio of work demonstrating versatility in styling techniques
Skills in barbering, eyelash extensions, makeup application, and other beauty treatments are highly desirable
Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with clients and team members
Previous experience in store management or supervisory roles is advantageous
Strong customer service orientation with a friendly, approachable demeanour
Ability to mentor junior staff members and foster a positive team environment
Organised with excellent time-management skills to handle multiple appointments efficiently
A recognised qualification in hairdressing or barbering from a reputable institution is required
Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends if necessary; however, the role primarily involves daytime hours
Race day pin-up essential and bouncy blowouts

Pay: £24,420.00-£50,283.05 per year
