Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Laundry Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and hygienic handling of laundry within our establishment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining experience within the hospitality industry, particularly those with prior hotel experience. The Laundry Assistant plays a vital part in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation, contributing to a welcoming environment for our guests.

Duties

Collect, sort, and load laundry items into washing machines and dryers according to established procedures
Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to health and safety guidelines
Fold, iron, and organise clean linen and towels for distribution across the premises
Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area, including cleaning machines and work surfaces
Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and notify management when stock needs replenishing
Assist with special laundry requests or urgent tasks as required
Ensure all laundry is handled in a timely manner to meet operational deadlines

Qualifications

Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Good organisational skills with attention to detail
Physically capable of handling repetitive tasks and lifting moderate loads
Reliable with a strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including early mornings or late evenings if required
