Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Online Primary Tutor specialising in GCSE and 11-16 education. This role involves delivering engaging, personalised tuition sessions to students via online platforms, supporting their academic progress and confidence. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching, excellent communication skills, and experience working with children or young learners. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to make a positive impact on students’ educational journeys while working flexibly from home.

Responsibilities

Deliver customised online tutoring sessions tailored to GCSE/11-16 curriculum requirements.
Assess students’ individual learning needs and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
Support students in developing understanding of key concepts across various subjects.
Monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to both students and parents where appropriate.
Create engaging lesson plans and learning materials that motivate students and enhance their understanding.
Maintain a professional and encouraging online learning environment.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure consistent support and progress.
Stay updated with curriculum changes and best practices in tutoring and special education needs.

Qualifications

Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably within the GCSE/11-16 age range.
Strong knowledge of the GCSE curriculum across relevant subjects.
Experience working with children or young learners, including those with special educational needs.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and patiently.
Organised with the ability to plan engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
Reliable access to a computer or tablet with a stable internet connection suitable for online teaching.
A recognised qualification in education or a related field is desirable but not essential. This role offers an enriching opportunity to support young learners' academic development through flexible online work while fostering a love of learning in GCSE/11-16 students.

Pay: £15.80-£20.50 per hour
