Full job description

Caesars at Dolphin is an independent, family-run restaurant in Braintree, known for our warm atmosphere, loyal guests, and great food made with care. We’re looking for a Chef who is passionate about cooking and eager to grow their skills in a supportive, creative environment.

Experience in a professional kitchen is preferred, but not essential for the right person — enthusiasm, reliability, and a love for great food matter most. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to take the next step in their career, bring their own ideas to the table, and be part of a close, friendly team.

At Caesars, we’re flexible and open to creativity. You’ll have the space to experiment with new dishes, influence menu development, and take real ownership in the kitchen as we continue to grow.

Duties

Prepare, cook, and present a variety of high-quality dishes in line with our menu and standards
Support and work alongside other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and great teamwork
Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene, and allergen standards
Help manage stock, minimise waste, and keep the kitchen organised
Collaborate with management and front-of-house staff to deliver a top-notch dining experience
Contribute creative ideas for new dishes and seasonal specials

Requirements

Experience in a professional kitchen preferred, but not essential for the right candidate
Strong cooking skills and understanding of basic culinary techniques
Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
Awareness of food safety and hygiene standards
Organised, reliable, and calm under pressure
Passion for great food and an eagerness to grow with us
