Full job description

Role Description

Par5 Escapes is seeking an ambitious and experienced Sales Manager to lead our growing Golf Travel sales team from our London office. This is a hands-on leadership role combining personal sales responsibility with team management, coaching, and performance development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing and mentoring a team of Golf Travel Consultants, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences from enquiry through to booking.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading, motivating, and developing a high-performing sales team through coaching, mentoring, and regular performance reviews.
Setting individual and team sales targets, monitoring KPIs, and implementing action plans to achieve business objectives.
Conducting regular training sessions to improve sales techniques, product knowledge, customer service standards, and CRM usage.
Recruiting, onboarding, and supporting new team members as the business grows.
Prospecting and converting new business opportunities while maintaining a personal sales pipeline.
Managing inbound enquiries and converting customer interest into confirmed golf holiday bookings.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with individual clients, golf groups, travel agents, and corporate customers.
Preparing tailored golf holiday proposals and quotations across our portfolio of destinations.
Working closely with hotel, airline, transfer, and golf course partners to negotiate competitive rates and exclusive packages.
Collaborating with the Operations and Product teams to ensure smooth delivery of customer bookings.
Analysing sales performance data, identifying trends, and providing recommendations to improve conversion rates and profitability.
Monitoring market developments, competitor activity, and customer preferences to help shape future product offerings.

QualificationsEssential

Minimum 5 years experience within the travel, hospitality, golf, leisure, or sports tourism sectors.
Minimum 3 years' experience in a sales leadership, sales manager, or team leader role.
Proven experience managing, coaching, and developing a sales team.
Demonstrable track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Strong commercial awareness and ability to drive revenue growth.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Experience using CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
A proactive, results-driven, and customer-focused mindset.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Desirable

Knowledge of golf destinations, golf resorts, and golf travel products.
Experience recruiting, onboarding, and training sales staff.
Understanding of sales forecasting, pipeline management, and performance analytics.
Existing network within the golf, travel, or hospitality industries.
Passion for golf and an understanding of the golfer customer journey.
