Independent Assessor – Remote Assignment Marking (Self-Employed)

Location: Remote / home-based
Job Type: Self-Employed
Pay: To be agreed per marked assignment
Schedule: Flexible

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Independent Assessor to mark learner assignments remotely for Adult Care Management Level 5 and Business Management Level 5 qualifications. You will review submitted work, assess evidence against the relevant standards, and provide clear, constructive feedback to support learner progression.

This role is ideal for a knowledgeable assessor looking for flexible, independent remote marking work.

Key Responsibilities

· Mark learner assignments remotely for Adult Care Management Level 5 and Business Management Level 5

· Assess submitted evidence against the relevant qualification standards and assessment criteria

· Provide clear, professional and constructive feedback to learners

· Complete assessment records and documentation accurately and on time

· Maintain confidentiality and comply with safeguarding, data protection and quality assurance requirements

· Liaise professionally with learners, training providers and internal quality assurance staff where required

Requirements

· Relevant occupational competence and experience in adult care management, business management, or both

· Experience assessing Level 5 learner work or management qualifications

· Confident marking written assignments remotely and making assessment decisions

· Strong written communication skills and attention to detail

· Able to meet agreed marking deadlines and work independently

· Reliable, professional and self-motivated

· Must hold appropriate professional indemnity insurance as an independent assessor

Desirable (but not essential)

· Assessor qualification, such as CAVA, A1 or TAQA

· Experience with Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Adult Care

· Experience assessing business management qualifications

· Internal quality assurance experience or understanding of quality assurance processes

Applicants should be confident assessing written assignments and providing high-quality feedback in line with qualification requirements.
