Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Support Worker to join our nursing home. This role involves providing essential support to patients under the supervision of registered nurses and healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, organisational abilities, and a genuine desire to improve patient wellbeing. Duties

Assist patients with daily activities such as mobility, personal hygiene, and feeding, ensuring dignity and comfort at all times
Support the implementation and review of individual care plans in collaboration with nursing staff
Monitor and record vital signs and patient observations accurately using IT systems
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery
Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, adhering to organisational policies and confidentiality standards
Assist with mobilisation exercises and rehabilitation activities as directed by healthcare professionals
Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of patient areas and equipment in accordance with health and safety regulations
Participate in training sessions and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge

Experience

Previous experience in a healthcare or caring environment is desirable but not essential; relevant training will be provided
Knowledge of nursing procedures, care plans, and basic IT systems used within healthcare settings is advantageous
Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with patients, families, and colleagues
Organisational skills are necessary to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
An empathetic approach combined with a professional attitude is vital for delivering high standards of patient support.
