Full job description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be enthusiastic, hard working and a strong ability to manage time effectively. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their needs, and contributing to the overall success of our sales team.

This job requires good time keeping and a clean and smart appearance. The candidate will be asked to fulfill the role of sales assistant which requires handling cash, serving customers and putting out deliveries in a busy environment. Drivers license required. 18-22 hours per week including weekend shift and some 6pm finishes.

HOURLY RATE ABOVE NATIONAL MINIMUM WAGE

Job Types: part time, permanent

Full hours: 18-22 per week

Schedule:

Day shift

Monday to Friday

Weekend availability

Work Location: In person

- Greet customers warmly and assist them if needed
- Manage phone inquiries with professionalism and courtesy, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.

- Utilise basic maths skills for handling transactions and providing change.

Experience
- Previous experience in a retail or sales environment is preferred but not essential.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
