Started off loving the job however certain management clearly have no management skills - a lot of friends and family working together on shop floor and within management 

Were willing to bend the rules in regards to handling of medication and staff/service user ratios to suit due to lack of staff

Rotas are dreadful being changed constantly and some staff are doing so many days/hours there is no consideration to staffs well being. A lot of pressure placed on staff to cover at last minute also. 

Most of the staff are great and really care for the service users but the pressure forces them to leave, as does the very low wage and lack of company benefits. 

Personally I think they need to get management to set up (not just give orders) and maybe concentrate on getting the homes they have running correctly before opening others. 

 I have worked for Godfrey Care for 4 months now and I'm absolutely loving it. I really feel like I am making a difference to people's lives and especially the people that have come to us from hospitals and unsuitable environments. Godfrey  Care feels like a family who really care about the people they support and the teams they employ to support them.  Homes, services working and supporting in are of a high spec and in the more complex services safety is paramount such as tough furniture, anti ligature fittings, sensors in rooms instead of switches, really well thought out and invested in. It's never a boring day at work and the opportunities to have fun and grow as the company grows are endless. 

When u come in u get a warm welcome of staff.  You will be introduced to staff and service users. They show u basic skills in laundry etc then personal care for everyone
If unsure of anythingyou just need to ask and staff are willingto help .
You will experience challenges along the way either through behaviours or just ur daily routine but full training is given along the way .
At the end of the day the best thing is seeing them happy day in day out by given them a normal life as possible by going out in all weathers near and far 

One of the things I appreciate most about working here is the strong sense of community and teamwork. We support each other and collaborate effectively to provide the best possible care. The leadership is responsive and always open to feedback, fostering an environment where we can continuously improve and grow.I am particularly proud of how we handle communication with clients and their families. We prioritize transparency and keep everyone informed, addressing any concerns promptly and with empathy. It's incredibly rewarding to see the difference we make in our clients' lives, from improving their health outcomes to simply bringing a smile to their faces.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Supportive staff and management, the service users are lovely, it really is such a rewarding job role and you learn new skills everyday. Despite minimal challenges, the positive days overrule the negative.

Recruitment process was very good and flexibility within rotas lets you work around your lifestyle needs if necessary.

Godfrey care don't practice what they preach. The safe are terrible always gossiping if you're not in their clique they bully you out. Staff are lazy and leave clients locked in their rooms. Management is none existent and when there has no idea how to manage. Staff are exploited made to work days and nights. Changing hours with no advance warning. Expected to come in on your day off.
Practice is poor doesn't follow their own duty of care and polices and procedures. No equal rights. Staff already working in Godfrey care are prioritised. Wouldn't recommend 1*

Godfrey Care(Waverley house) provides a positive and supportive work environment. The manager is approachable, kind, and always takes the time to listen to staff concerns and ideas. There is a strong sense of teamwork, and everyone is encouraged to work collaboratively. Overall, it is a well-managed organisation with a respectful and encouraging atmosphere.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Nothing tangible for now,still observing

Not the best place to work, long hours for a small 15 minute break. The pay does not reflect the work you do, management aren’t very supportive and it’s very cliquey. Staff team is a mix, some of them are very supportive, others are two faced and will stab you in the back - same as the management. If your face fits and you’re ‘liked’ you’ll be fine. Can be a toxic place to work, some days are worse than others it just depends who’s on your shift. Service users make it worth while and thats it. If you bring any issues up they’ll just get swept under the carpet and not dealt with.
