Production Operator

Location: Weedon Bec, Northampton (NN7)
Reporting to: Production Supervisor
Shift Pattern: Rotating 3-shift pattern (24/7 operation), working 5 days out of 7

About the Role

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will support the manufacture of pharmaceutical products by carrying out production activities safely, efficiently and in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

Working within our manufacturing team, you will undertake a variety of tasks including bulk preparation, filling, packing, equipment cleaning and completion of production documentation.

The role supports our 24/7 manufacturing operation and operates on a rotating three-shift pattern, working 5 days out of every 7 days.

Key Responsibilities

Operate manufacturing and packaging equipment in accordance with approved SOPs.
Carry out bulk preparation, filling, packing and labelling activities.
Complete production records accurately in accordance with Good Documentation Practice (GDP).
Follow GMP and company quality procedures at all times.
Perform equipment cleaning and basic operational checks.
Report equipment faults, quality concerns, deviations or safety issues.
Maintain excellent housekeeping and hygiene standards.
Work closely with Production, Engineering, QA and Warehouse teams.
Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.
Comply with Health & Safety requirements and wear appropriate PPE.

About YouEssential

Previous experience within a manufacturing, production or warehouse environment, or a willingness to learn.
Good attention to detail.
Reliable, punctual and self-motivated.
Ability to follow written procedures accurately.
Good communication skills and a positive team attitude.
Flexible to work a rotating three-shift pattern covering a 24/7 operation.

Desirable

Previous pharmaceutical, food, medical device or regulated manufacturing experience.
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
Experience completing production documentation.

Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to build a career in pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Shift Pattern

Supporting our 24/7 manufacturing operation:

Morning: 5:45 am – 2:15 pm
Afternoon: 1:45 pm – 10:15 pm
Night: 9:45 pm – 6:15 am

Working 5 shifts out of every 7 days, including weekends as part of the rota.

Working Environment

Pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Manual handling and standing for extended periods.
GMP-controlled production environment.
Full PPE required in designated production areas.
