Job Summary

Are you a motivated and forward-thinking Project Manager with a passion for technology, innovation, and delivering meaningful change? Then join the Estates & Facilities Technical Development Team and play a key role in shaping the future of one of the UK's largest healthcare estates. This exciting role offers the opportunity to lead and deliver a diverse portfolio of technical and digital projects that support Estates & Facilities services across the Trust. Working with a wide range of stakeholders, you will manage projects involving business-critical systems, smart building technologies, and embedded/IoT solutions, helping to modernise services and improve the experience of patients, visitors, and staff.

As part of the Trust's ambitious Digital Estate vision, you will be instrumental in turning strategy into realitydelivering innovative projects that enhance operational performance, drive efficiencies, and support the creation of a fully connected, data-driven estate. Based primarily at St James's University Hospital, you will work across all Trust sites, providing exposure to a broad range of high-profile projects and emerging technologies. Why you should join our Team

The Technical Development team manage Digital Estate systems and technology across Estates and Facilities, leading on technological development, improvement and advancement for our non-clinical operational services. Working closely with operational and technical teams, in this role you will provide technical solutions for the Estates and Facilities team, and play a part in ensuring crucial services are provided across the Trust.

Applicants should be motivated, conscientious and able to both work alone and be a reliable team player. You will need to be flexible and friendly, act as a role model to all staff and be prepared to join a hard-working, busy, and sociable department. To be successful in this role you will need demonstrable experience of the specification, configuration and implementation of a variety of smart building related line of business systems, including embedded systems such as CCTV, access control, large scale activity systems with mobile field service operatives, asset management/maintenance systems, all provided across a busy, corporate environment.

On the job training will be provided to help gain proper understanding of the systems involved. The normal hours of work will be 37.5 hours weekly, agreeable between 0800 - 1800 Monday to Friday.

What you will bring to the role

This role provides the following services to the Trust:

Project Management of new/updated/upgraded non-clinical systems and IoT relating to the management of all LTHT hospital buildings at all sites
Key input to major long-term digital transformation initiatives (of which the individual projects will form a part) delivering LTHT’s Digital Estate Strategy
Support to existing Trust processes surrounding Information Governance, cyber-security assessments and the management of in-scope systems.
Support to the expansion of ‘digital mobilisation’ initiatives (i.e. expanding the use of mobile technologies) across the extensive and varied Estates & Facilities workforce
This role has a particular focus on changing and improving systems via structured projects. The team work to the Scrum framework for managing projects and day to day activities (though there is no software development requirement for the role, it is a highly technical function).
