Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Charity Shop Manager to lead our retail operations with passion and purpose. In this vital role, you will oversee daily store activities, manage a dynamic team, and ensure the shop runs smoothly while maximizing sales and donations. Your leadership will directly contribute to our mission of supporting community programs and charitable initiatives. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with excellent communication skills, a knack for merchandising, and a strong sense of organizational management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while developing your management expertise in a vibrant retail environment.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise all store operations, ensuring high standards of customer service and operational efficiency
Manage team schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and motivate staff to achieve sales targets and organizational goals
Oversee merchandising efforts by organizing displays, managing stock levels, and implementing promotional strategies to attract customers
Handle administrative duties including inventory management, cash handling, record keeping, and reporting sales data accurately
Foster positive relationships with customers, volunteers, donors, and community partners through excellent communication and phone etiquette
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, store policies, and charity guidelines at all times
Organize volunteer schedules and provide training to enhance team performance and engagement

Skills

Strong management experience with a proven track record in supervising teams within a retail or charity environment
Excellent leadership abilities with the capacity to inspire and motivate staff and volunteers
Good communication skills
Skilled in retail management, sales strategies, merchandising techniques, and customer service excellence
Well-organized with effective time management skills to handle multiple priorities efficiently
Administrative experience including record keeping and basic financial reporting
Demonstrates professionalism with good phone etiquette and organizational skills to maintain smooth operations
Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
