Full job description

Job Summary

We are looking for a friendly and efficient Cafe Assistant to join our small team on a part or full time basis, this could be working anywhere from 2-5 days a week and is up for discussion to suit the right candidate/s though shifts will be spread across the full week, including some weekend work. This is a permanent role so is not suitable to people looking for work only during school holidays. Soul Bowl is an independant small cafe serving coffee, matcha, acai bowls and other wholesome foods along with cakes and more.

The ideal candidate will be a people person, passionate about meeting and building positive relationships with our local community and tourists alike. You must be confident in working alone or as part of a team in a variably busy setting. During peak season the environment is incredibly fast paced so you must be efficient and calm under pressure, always ensuring consistently high products are sent out. An interest in health and wellbeing would be beneficial due to the nature of our products.

This role involves a variety of tasks including food and beverage preparation, serving customers, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. Previous experience in hospitality is essential and barista training is preferred.

Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality is required.
Must be over 18
Barista experience is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work during busy periods, including weekdays and weekends during our full opening hours

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
