Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality and a strong ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, ensuring that all customers receive exceptional service while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
Maintain a clean and organised bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
Engage with customers, taking orders and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service practices.
Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods.
Handle cash transactions accurately, including basic maths calculations for billing.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food orders as needed.
Monitor inventory levels of bar supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
Uphold the establishment's standards of hospitality, creating a friendly and inviting environment for all patrons.

Experience

Previous experience in bartending or a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred but not essential.
Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
Knowledge of food safety practices relevant to the preparation and serving of beverages.
A genuine passion for hospitality and providing excellent customer service.
