Location: Cradley Heath, West Midlands
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 4:00pm, Friday: 7:00am – 1:00pm

We are looking for a wireformer / wire forming machine operator with an eye for detail, a strong passion for manufacturing and engineering and desire to develop real skills in spring manufacturing.

Central Birmingham Springs Ltd (CBS) is a UK-based engineering company specialised in spring and wire forming engineering company, located in Cradley Heath. At CBS we specialise in custom-made precision spring manufacturing, supplying high-quality and dependable components to a variety of industries, assisting the customer from design through to manufacturing, enhancing and supporting the application of each component. We take pride in our craftsmanship and innovation, and we’re looking a motivated individuals to join our growing team.

This is a hands-on role for someone with experience in wire forming and CNC machine setting, who enjoys practical engineering work and wants to develop further within a supportive manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

Setting and operating wire forming machines
Producing wire forms to customer drawings and specifications
Adjusting tooling and machine settings to achieve accurate results
Checking dimensions and maintaining quality standards
Supporting the production team with general workshop operations
Working closely with experienced operators and engineers

What We’re Looking For

We are specifically looking for someone with previous experience as a Wireformer / Wire Forming Machine Setter.

The amount of experience is not the most important thing to us, whether you’ve worked in the field for 1 year or 20 years, what matters is that you already understand wire forming processes and know how to operate and set machines.

The ideal candidate will:

Have experience setting and operating CNC wire forming machinery
Have good attention to detail and take pride in their work
Be reliable, motivated, and willing to learn
Be practical and hands-on
Work well independently and as part of a team
