About the Role

The Programme Manager will operate across a range of technology portfolios to ensure the ensure the successful delivery of one or more strategic programmes within the Global Technology portfolio. These programmes will be large scale change initiatives delivering either significant business value or significant business change which support the continued growth and evolution of OUP.

You will be responsible for embedding a programme governance framework to drive high quality delivery of structured business outcomes. This role will ensure the programme vision and benefits are delivered to quality, cost, and time, and you will work closely with technology services teams, partners and business stakeholders to ensure that outcomes are clearly defined, change delivered and benefits realised.

This role will be accountable for the delivery of key programmes in the web and e-commerce area and requires strong delivery and implementation skills in this area. You will be accountable for planning at a programme level that encompasses all workstreams required to deliver the agreed programme outcomes - including both business and technology leadership, including working with and holding to account both internal teams and 3rd party suppliers. The role requires a strong track record of building positive stakeholder engagement, cross functional planning and programme level planning and budgeting.

You will collaborate with PMO and other stakeholders across OUP to ensure there is clarity of programme scope, an agreed delivery approach and strong governance to facilitate timely decision making, and will be required to work with ambiguity to shape a structured delivery approach which realises business value.

We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.

About You

Strong background and track record of high-level programme management which has realised end to end delivery outcomes for large-scale change initiatives.
Demonstrable skills and knowledge of successfully implementing transformation programmes that include both technology and business transformation.
A track record of shaping, defining and operating Programme Governance structures at L1/Executive Level.
Strong stakeholder management skills, able to build collaborative relationships whilst holding to account and having challenging conversations across a range of stakeholder levels.
Ability to lead through uncertainty, helping business stakeholders shape demand, assess options and risks to achieve optimum outcomes.
