We specialise in alloy wheel refurbishment, mobile diamond cutting, windscreen repairs, vehicle de-odour services, interior trim repairs and much more.
Our mobile service allows us to provide high-quality repairs directly at our customers' locations, delivering a convenient, efficient and professional service across Staffordshire and the North West.
Due to continued growth and increased workload, we are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Alloy Wheel Technician to join our growing team.
The Role
As a Mobile Alloy Wheel Technician, you will carry out alloy wheel refurbishment and repair work at various customer and business locations throughout Staffordshire and the North West.
This is a hands-on role that would suit someone who takes pride in their workmanship, has excellent attention to detail and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Full training will be provided, so previous alloy wheel refurbishment experience is preferred but not essential.
You will be provided with all company tools, equipment and uniform required to carry out the role.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- Saturdays as and when required
- Two Saturdays in March and two Saturdays in September are compulsory, as these are traditionally some of our busiest periods
- The role involves regular travel, with approximately 75% travel required
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out professional alloy wheel refurbishment and repair work at customer locations
- Prepare, repair and refurbish alloy wheels to a high standard
- Assess wheel damage and determine the appropriate repair method
- Safely and effectively use hand tools and power tools
- Maintain company tools and equipment to a high standard
- Follow all company health and safety procedures
- Deliver excellent customer service and communicate professionally with customers
- Travel to various customer and business locations across Staffordshire and the North West
- Collect and deliver wheels where required
- Assist with other vehicle and maintenance tasks when required
- Keep your work area, vehicle and equipment clean, tidy and organised
- Complete accurate records of work carried out
- Work independently while also supporting the wider Storm Alloys team
We are looking for someone who is:
- Hardworking, reliable and punctual
- Practical and mechanically minded
- Confident using hand tools and power tools
- Highly focused on quality and attention to detail
- Customer-focused with excellent communication skills
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Physically capable of lifting and handling alloy wheels and equipment
- Willing to travel as part of the role
- Keen to learn new skills and develop within the business
Experience
Previous experience in alloy wheel refurbishment would be advantageous, but it is not essential as full training will be provided.
A genuine interest in vehicles and a willingness to learn are more important.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- No more than 6 penalty points
- Must be willing to travel as part of the role
- Applicants must live in Stoke-on-Trent or the surrounding areas
- Good level of physical fitness due to the hands-on nature of the role
