Full job description

About The Role:
At Next we have an opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our catering team at our Head Office in Leicestershire. Working within our onsite restaurant, you will play a vital role in supporting the business by managing deliveries and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety within the kitchen. This is a key position that ensures our catering operations run smoothly and safely every day.

This is a part time position working 27.5 hours per week Monday-Friday 8am-2pm

What You'll Take On:

Manage deliveries, ensuring everything arrives at the correct temperature and in good condition.
Store stock safely and efficiently, following stock rotation and health and safety regulations.
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness across the kitchen and restaurant areas.
Wash kitchen equipment, pots, and pans to a high standard.
Take responsibility for the dish washing area, ensuring equipment is sanitised and well-maintained.
Manage waste removal and empty bins regularly to keep the environment safe and clear of hazards.
Complete daily cleaning schedules and laundry tasks to ensure fresh cloths are always available.
Report any equipment breakages immediately and comply with all safety standards.
Secure the premises at the end of each shift by locking windows and doors and returning keys to security.

You have worked in a similar catering or kitchen environment before.
You have strong communication skills and can share information clearly.
You use your initiative to resolve issues and suggest better ways of working.
You can prioritise your tasks effectively to meet daily deadlines.
