Job Summary

The opportunity has arisen to join the Ingersoll Rand Family. We are now looking for an experienced Compressed Air Field Service Engineer to join the team. Responsible for Maintenance, Breakdowns & Commissioning on all makes of Compressed air equipment. The role will mainly cover the north west of England however some further travel and overnight stays may be required. The ideal candidate will have experience in all types of compressed air technologies.

Responsibilities

To attend the customer’s site to perform breakdown repairs on all compressed air generating equipment.
To attend the customer’s site to perform preventative maintenance on all compressed air generating equipment.
Maintain verbal and written communications with customers and others as seen necessary in a professional mannerLiaise with the technical or office-based personnel to achieve a clear understanding of specific job requirements as necessary
Liaise with customers to ensure that any work is done with their approval
Operate in accordance with company EHS guidelines

Basic Qualifications

Minimum HNC level in an Electrical/Electronic/Instrumentation or Electromechanical discipline
Proven diagnostic skills on complicated electrical/mechanical systems
Extensive product knowledge within the compressed air industryPC literate
Full driving license

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

Field based role, operating out of our Preston Office
Must be willing to travel extensively in north west England region with overnight stays as required

Key Competencies

Ability to work alone possessing a balanced judgement
Commercial Awareness
Willing to travel at short noticeMinimum 5 years’ experience in the compressed air industry
Ability to communicate well and deal with others
Must be customer centric
