Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Plant Mechanic and Logistics Specialist to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing plant equipment and machinery while managing efficient logistics operations. Your expertise will ensure smooth plant operations, safety compliance, and timely movement of materials. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with heavy machinery, perform technical repairs, and coordinate logistics activities that keep our operations running at peak performance. Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on plant equipment including excavators, forklifts, conveyors, and other heavy machinery.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify root causes quickly.
Conduct fabrication, welding, soldering, and electrical work to repair or modify equipment as needed.
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to assemble parts or repair machinery efficiently.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Coordinate logistics operations such as loading/unloading materials, managing inventory levels, and scheduling equipment movement.
Assist with heavy lifting tasks using appropriate safety procedures to ensure safe handling of materials and machinery.
Support customer service efforts by ensuring equipment is operational for client projects and site needs.

Experience

Proven experience in mechanical repair or maintenance within an industrial or construction environment.
Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques including welding and soldering.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and electrical diagrams.
Hands-on experience with electrical systems and troubleshooting electrical issues on machinery.
Familiarity with operating heavy equipment such as excavators and forklifts; certification is a plus.
Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to equipment troubleshooting and repairs.
Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate clearly with team members and external partners.
