Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Part Time Maintenance Assistant to join our team in Newquay, South West. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospitality facilities, contributing to a welcoming environment for our guests. As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining the standards of our premises, ensuring that all areas are safe, clean, and well-maintained.

Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.
Assist in the upkeep of outdoor areas, including gardens and pathways.
Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address maintenance issues.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and guests.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Support the team in setting up and dismantling equipment for events.

Qualifications:

No formal qualifications required; however, a basic understanding of maintenance tasks is preferred.
Previous experience in a maintenance or similar role is an advantage but not essential.
Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn.
Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
