Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Installer specialising in Stone & Quartz Worktops to join our dynamic team. This role involves supporting the installation process of high-quality work surfaces, ensuring precision and adherence to safety standards. The successful candidate will gain valuable hands-on experience in a specialised trade, working alongside experienced professionals in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in construction and fabrication, with scope for skill development and career progression.

Responsibilities

Assist with the safe handling and transportation of stone and quartz worktops to installation sites.
Support the measurement, cutting, and fitting of work surfaces according to project specifications.
Prepare work areas by cleaning and setting up necessary tools and materials.
Collaborate with senior installers to ensure precise placement and secure fixing of worktops.
Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to assist with cutting, polishing, and finishing surfaces.
Ensure all safety protocols are followed during installation procedures.
Maintain organisation of tools and materials on-site, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
Support the team in troubleshooting any issues that arise during installation processes.

Skills

Experience or knowledge of transferable skills in construction-related trades such as roofing, plumbing, welding, plastering, masonry or carpentry is advantageous.
Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in fabrication and installation tasks.
Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
Basic understanding of construction safety standards and protocols.
Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail to ensure precise measurements and fitting.
Good physical stamina to handle lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Willingness to learn new skills related to stonework installation processes.
Team-oriented attitude with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues.

Pay: £32,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
