An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and commercially driven Studio Manager to take ownership of the performance, culture and member experience of a leading boutique fitness studio in London.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced studio environment and genuinely enjoys being at the heart of the member experience. You will be responsible for driving studio growth, leading the Front of House team, overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring the studio consistently delivers an exceptional experience.
The successful candidate will combine strong commercial awareness with excellent people skills, taking an owner-minded approach to identifying opportunities, improving performance and continuously finding ways to move the studio forward.
You will be the visible leader within the studio, building strong relationships with members, motivating and developing the FOH team, driving sales and ensuring the studio is safe, spotless and operating to the highest standards.
The Role...
- Salary: £33,000–£35,000 per annum
- Working Days: Tuesday–Saturday
- Working Hours: Primarily 6am–2pm and 2pm–9pm shifts, plus 1–2 studio-based outreach days per week (9am–5pm)

1. Studio Growth & Commercial Performance
Take ownership of the overall commercial performance and growth of the studio, thinking like an owner and proactively identifying opportunities to improve results.
Own financial performance and class utilisation.
Respond to and follow up on inbound sales opportunities every day.
Conduct proactive sales calls and manage corporate sales and bookings.
Motivate the FOH team to actively sell in the studio and achieve sales targets.
Ensure the team spends meaningful time engaging with prospective members while on shift.
Monitor performance and identify opportunities to improve the studio's commercial results.
2. Schedule, Product & Member Experience
Take ownership of the studio's class schedule and use member insight and performance data to continuously improve the product and experience.
Oversee and manage the class schedule end-to-end.
Identify areas for improvement across classes, timetable, pricing and member experience.
Review trends across class formats, timings, instructor performance, audience fit and demand.
Build strong, genuine relationships with members to understand their wants, needs and feedback.
Use member insight to continuously improve the studio experience.
Ensure disruptions to members are handled professionally and with care.
3. FOH Team & People Management
Lead and inspire the Front of House team, setting the standard for how the studio operates every day.
Create and manage the FOH rota, ensuring adequate cover at all times.
Source and arrange last-minute cover when required.
Ensure the FOH team consistently operates to the highest standards.
Communicate changes, updates and key information clearly and in a timely manner.
Keep the team feeling happy, supported and motivated.
Coach and motivate the FOH team to drive sales and deliver against targets.
Manage FOH invoice processes and relevant studio administration.
Handle employee issues and rota disputes professionally and fairly.
Manage permanent class slot administration where required.
4. Studio Operations
Take ownership of the day-to-day operational running of the studio, ensuring it is safe, spotless and fully operational at all times.
Ensure all equipment is in full working order.
Report and resolve operational issues quickly, minimising disruption to members and classes.
Ensure all Health & Safety checks are completed and logged in line with company protocols.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation and studio presentation.
Fix and manage on-the-day issues swiftly and calmly.
Ensure the studio is consistently operating to the required standards.
5. Partnerships, Events & Value Creation
Identify opportunities to create additional value for the studio and its member community.
Drive additional value through workshops, events and brand partnerships.
Identify relevant opportunities to increase engagement and support studio growth.
Ensure all partnerships are aligned with the brand and member community.
6. Daily Studio Leadership
Every shift, you will set the tone for the studio by being a visible, proactive and engaged leader.
Be a warm, visible and welcoming presence in the studio.
Lead by example in every interaction with members, instructors and the wider team.
Respond to and follow up on sales opportunities every day.
Proactively engage with members and prospective members.
Take ownership of issues and resolve them quickly and calmly.
Must-Have Experience:
Previous experience in a management or leadership position within boutique fitness, wellness, hospitality or another customer-focused environment.
Strong commercial awareness and experience working towards sales or revenue targets.
Experience leading, motivating and developing a customer-facing team.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
A proactive, hands-on approach to studio operations and problem-solving.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage rotas, people and day-to-day operational requirements.
A genuine passion for creating exceptional member and customer experiences.
Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced studio environment.
Highly Desirable:
Previous experience within boutique fitness or a premium wellness environment.
Experience with studio sales, memberships and class utilisation.
Experience managing a fitness studio, gym, wellness space or similar customer-facing venue.
Experience with events, workshops, corporate bookings or brand partnerships.
A strong understanding of the boutique fitness market and what drives member engagement and retention.
