Full job description

We are looking for a friendly, organised and professional Receptionist / Administrator to join the team at our well established and busy private podiatry clinic in Bishopbriggs.

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will provide a welcoming and efficient reception service while supporting the smooth running of the clinic.

This is an important patient-facing role requiring excellent communication skills, attention to detail and a caring approach.

Working Hours

9:00am–5:00pm on a fixed two-week rota:
Week 1: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
Week 2: Thursday and Friday
Flexibility is required to provide occasional additional cover for annual leave and sickness.

Key Responsibilities

Welcoming patients and visitors to the clinic in a friendly and professional manner.
Answering telephone calls and dealing with patient enquiries.
Managing emails and other platforms that involve communication with patients.
Booking, managing and updating patient appointments using our practice management software.
Handling patient information confidentially and accurately updating records.
Ensuring the reception area is clean, tidy and welcoming for patients, including light cleaning duties such as vacuuming and wiping surfaces.
Providing general reception and administrative duties in line with business requirements.

About You

You will be:

Friendly, approachable and professional.
Confident communicating with patients both face-to-face and over the telephone.
Organised with good attention to detail.
Comfortable and confident using a computer with good general IT skills. Training will be provided on specific clinic software.
Reliable and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Committed to providing excellent patient care and service.

Previous reception or administration experience would be an advantage; however, we welcome applications from candidates with strong customer service skills and a willingness to learn.

Pay: £13.00 per hour
