Full job description

Cards2Cash is a fast-growing UK online marketplace specialising in buying and selling gift cards. We are looking for an experienced part time Marketing Assistant to join our growing team and take responsibility for helping us grow our customer base, increase sales and build our presence across digital channels.

This is a hands-on role for someone who understands digital marketing and is comfortable creating content, managing campaigns and looking at data to understand what is working.

The Role

You will work across our key marketing channels, including Instagram, email marketing, paid social and Google Ads.

You will be responsible for creating and managing marketing campaigns, producing engaging content and helping us continually improve our customer acquisition and retention.

The role will include:

Managing Cards2Cash's Instagram and other social media channels
Creating engaging social media content, including posts, Reels and promotional content
Planning and maintaining a social media content calendar
Creating and managing email marketing campaigns
Developing promotional campaigns to drive sales and customer engagement
Managing paid social advertising campaigns, including Meta Ads
Managing and optimising Google Ads campaigns
Monitoring campaign performance and making data-driven improvements
Tracking key marketing metrics including conversions, CPA, ROAS, CTR and engagement
Testing different adverts, audiences, creatives and messaging
Working with the wider team to develop promotions and marketing initiatives
Keeping up to date with digital marketing trends and platform changes
Helping improve our website, landing pages and customer journey from a marketing perspective
Identifying new opportunities to acquire and retain customers
Reporting on marketing performance and making recommendations for future campaigns

About You

We are looking for someone who already has practical marketing experience. You should be able to demonstrate that you have previously managed digital marketing campaigns.

You should have experience with:

Instagram and social media marketing
Meta Ads / Facebook Ads
Google Ads
Email marketing platforms
Creating marketing content
Digital advertising and campaign optimisation
Google Analytics or similar analytics platforms
Understanding marketing performance metrics and conversion data

You will ideally have experience managing marketing budgets and be comfortable being judged on measurable results.

Commercially minded and focused on generating results
Confident using digital marketing platforms
Comfortable analysing data and making decisions from it
Organised and able to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously
Proactive and able to work independently
Interested in social media, advertising and current digital trends
A strong communicator with excellent written English
Comfortable testing new ideas rather than simply doing things because they have always been done that way

Experience in e-commerce, retail, marketplaces, gift cards, financial technology or a similar online business would be advantageous.

Requirements

Essential:

Previous professional marketing experience
Experience with Instagram/social media marketing
Experience running paid social campaigns
Experience with Google Ads
Experience with email marketing
Strong written communication skills
Good understanding of digital marketing analytics and KPIs
Ability to work independently and manage your own workload

Desirable:

E-commerce marketing experience
Experience with Google Analytics
Experience with Canva, Adobe or similar design tools
Experience with CRM/email automation
Experience managing marketing budgets
Experience with conversion rate optimisation

Salary will be dependent on experience and the level of practical knowledge you can demonstrate.

Pay: £13.00 per hour

Education:

GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

Content marketing: 1 year (preferred)
