Overview

A rare opportunity to join us as a Trainee Accounts Assistant, where you'll gain hands-on experience in the dynamic world of financial management. This entry-level role is designed to develop your skills in accounting processes, data entry, and financial software systems. You'll work closely with experienced finance professionals, supporting essential functions that keep the organisation’s financial operations running smoothly. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to build a solid foundation in accounting within a vibrant and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

Assist with processing accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors and suppliers.
Support data entry tasks using industry specific software packages.
Help maintain and update financial records, ensuring all entries are precise and compliant with company policies.
Contribute to bank reconciliations by verifying transactions and resolving discrepancies efficiently.
Participate in the preparation of basic financial reports and statements under supervision.
Support the team in managing invoice processing and tracking outstanding payments.

Skills

Strong attention to detail with excellent data entry skills to ensure accuracy in financial records.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
Familiarity with popular accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or PeopleSoft is desirable but not essential.
Experience or knowledge of accounts payable procedures and invoice processing.
Ability to adapt quickly to new software tools and processes is essential.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Motivated learner eager to develop expertise in financial services and accounting operations.
