Senior Home Care Assistant
Salary: £14.80 Mon-Fri and £15 Sat& Sun
Job Type: Full-time

We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and dedicated Senior Home Care Assistant to join our growing team and help us maintain our high standards of care.The RoleAs a Senior Home Care Assistant, you will split your time between delivering high-quality hands-on care and supporting our care team in the field. You will play a vital role in maintaining our high standards of service by directly overseeing staff performance through routine assessments and guidance. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced carer looking to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities

Staff Supervisions: Conduct regular 1-to-1 supervisions and appraisals with care assistants to support their professional development and well-being.
Field Spot Checks: Perform unannounced and scheduled spot checks on staff in clients' homes to ensure compliance, safety, and high-quality care delivery.
Lead by Example: Provide exceptional personal care, medication support, and companionship to clients in their own homes.
Support the Team: Shadow, mentor, and introduce new care assistants to clients, ensuring high standards are met.
On-Call Support: Participate in an on-call rota to provide emergency advice and support to field staff.

What We Are Looking For

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a home care (domiciliary) setting, with a proven track record of guiding junior staff.
Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence with access to your own reliable vehicle (essential).
Traits: Strong leadership qualities, an eye for detail during assessments, excellent communication skills, and a true passion for helping others.
