Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen, ensuring a smooth operation that meets the highest standards of hygiene and safety. Responsibilities

Washing, cleaning, and sanitising dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure they are hygienic and ready for use.
Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including peeling, chopping, and organising ingredients.
Supporting chefs and kitchen staff during busy service periods to ensure efficient workflow.
Maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, storage areas, and waste disposal areas in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Restocking supplies and ensuring all kitchen tools are stored correctly after use.
Adhering to all food safety standards and hygiene protocols at all times to uphold the organisation’s reputation for quality.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations is advantageous.
Strong organisational skills with an eye for cleanliness and detail.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn about culinary practices and hospitality standards.
Good physical fitness to handle the demands of standing for extended periods and lifting moderate loads.
