Full job description

Job Summary

We are looking for a part-time Bookkeeper to join our busy small Company based in East Farleigh Maidstone.

Work Location – in person at office.

Around 20-25 hours a week, Monday – Friday. Flexibility is required on occasion to cover holidays etc.

Applicants must have excellent all round accounts experience within a small business, including dealing with customers and suppliers.

Applicant must be able to multi-task, prioritise and manage own work and work together with others.

Must be proficient and have good knowledge in the following;

· Accounts software preferably Sage Business Cloud/Sage 50 Accounts & Sage Payroll

· Excel, Outlook, Word.

Duties to include the following;

· Sales and Purchase ledger, and maintaining financial records

· Financial reporting to director and maintaining cash flow

· Bank and credit card reconciliations, processing of receipts and payments

· Monitoring of customers’ accounts and chasing overdue payments

· Managing VAT, Paye. NIC, CIS and HMRC Submissions

· Monthly payroll, processing, reporting and pension integration into accounts

· Managing deadlines and payments with HMRC, Accountants and Pension provider

· Data entry using internal and external systems.

· Assisting with office administration as required, supporting sales and order processing, answering phone, advising customers, responding to emails, booking work, and liaising with engineers via telephone and email.
