Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Cleaning Operative and play a vital role in maintaining a pristine, safe, and welcoming environment. This energetic position offers the opportunity to contribute to the cleanliness and hygiene standards of various commercial spaces. As a Cleaning Operative, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality cleaning services that ensure the comfort and satisfaction of all building users. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help create an inviting atmosphere that reflects our commitment to excellence.

Duties

Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including floors, windows, restrooms, and common spaces using commercial cleaning equipment and supplies
Maintain high standards of hygiene by sanitizing surfaces and disposing of waste appropriately
Follow scheduled cleaning routines and adapt to urgent cleaning requests as needed to ensure continuous cleanliness
Use janitorial equipment safely and efficiently, including vacuums, mops, buffers, and cleaning chemicals
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to ensure a safe working environment
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment
Support team members with additional tasks such as restocking supplies or preparing cleaning stations for upcoming shifts

Requirements

Proven experience in commercial cleaning work is highly desirable
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure thorough cleaning routines are completed effectively
Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, lift heavy objects, and stand for extended periods
Good communication skills for reporting issues or completing documentation accurately
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings or weekends if required
Knowledge of health and safety procedures related to commercial cleaning practices

Hours of work

8:00am to 6:30pm

Monday to Sunday with two days per week off (rotational days)
