Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Garden & Property Maintenance Labourer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces, ensuring properties are safe, functional, and visually appealing. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, apply your gardening and landscaping skills, and contribute to the upkeep of beautiful, well-maintained properties. Your proactive attitude and attention to detail will help create inviting environments for clients and communities alike.

Duties

Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, and weeding to keep outdoor areas vibrant and healthy
Operate power tools including lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, blowers, and other gardening equipment safely and efficiently
Use hand tools like shovels, rakes, pruners, and spades for various gardening and construction tasks
Assist with construction and installation projects such as fencing, decking, or garden beds as needed
Conduct basic mechanical maintenance on equipment like excavators or irrigation systems to ensure optimal operation
Support irrigation system installation, repairs, and adjustments to maintain proper watering schedules
Maintain cleanliness of work sites by removing debris, leaves, and waste to uphold safety standards and aesthetic quality

Requirements

Prior experience in landscape maintenance or gardening is highly preferred
Knowledge of horticulture principles and plant care techniques
Mechanical knowledge related to garden machinery or construction equipment is a plus
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and safety procedures for outdoor work
Experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators or similar construction equipment is advantageous
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with physical stamina for manual tasks
Strong teamwork skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving and maintenance tasks
