Specialist Metal Fabricator/Welder – Full Time

About Us

T Nevill & Co Ltd is a well-established metal fabrication company with decades of experience delivering high-quality bespoke metalwork. We work across a variety of sectors, producing precision bespoke metal components and assemblies for a wide range of projects.

We’re looking for a Specialist Metal Fabricator/Welder with 2–5 years’ hands-on experience to join our busy workshop team. This role is ideal for someone experienced in their fabrication career who has a solid foundation in sheet metal work and is keen to develop their skills further within a supportive and experienced team.

Key Responsibilities

Sheet Metal Fabrication – cutting, forming, and assembling sheet metal components
Metal Preparation – measuring, marking out, and cutting materials accurately
Presswork & Forming – operating guillotines and press brakes
Welding – TIG welding on a range of materials
Assembly Work – producing parts and assemblies to customer specifications
Drawing Interpretation – reading and working from engineering and CAD drawings
Finishing Operations – grinding and sanding
Quality Control – checking finished components for accuracy and finish
Workshop Support – maintaining tools, machines, and a safe, tidy working environment

Requirements

2-5 years’ experience in sheet metal fabrication or a similar metalworking role
Basic TIG welding experience or willingness to develop welding skills
Experience using sheet metal machinery (guillotines, brake presses, fly presses)
Ability to read and follow technical drawings
Good attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
Reliable, motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Desirable

NVQ Level 2 in Engineering, Fabrication, or similar qualification
Experience with bespoke or low-volume fabrication work
Experienced in working with Mills and Lathes
