Class 2 HGV Driver (Road Sweeper)

Location: Severn Beach, Bristol – BS35 4NU
Salary: £37,000 – £50,000 per year
Hours: Minimum 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

We’re currently looking for a Class 2 HGV Driver (Road Sweeper) to join our busy operation in Severn Beach.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HGV driver, or someone looking to develop their skills in a specialist role, with full training provided where required.

The Role

As a Class 2 Road Sweeper Driver, you’ll be responsible for operating our specialist vehicles at a variety of locations throughout the South West.

Your day-to-day work could include:

Operating road sweeping vehicles safely and efficiently.
Sweeping streets, highways, construction sites, car parks and customer premises.
Collecting waste and transporting it for onward disposal at our dedicated waste recycling plant.
Carrying out specialist operator activities including sweeping, jetting, gully sucking and dust suppression.
Completing daily vehicle walkaround checks and reporting any defects.
Maintaining high standards of vehicle cleanliness, both inside and out.
Working safely and in accordance with environmental and company regulations.
Providing excellent customer service and representing PMG Services professionally when dealing with clients and members of the public.
Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers and site teams.

What we're looking for

You’ll need:

HGV Class 2 Licence – Required
Full Driver CPC – Required
A reliable, hardworking and positive attitude.
A strong can-do approach and willingness to get the job done.
Good attention to detail and pride in your work.
Good communication and customer service skills.

Previous Road Sweeper or left-hand-drive vehicle experience is highly desirable, but not essential.

If you haven’t operated a sweeper before, don’t worry — full training will be provided to the right candidate.

A CSCS Card is also highly desirable.
