Finance Assistant (Part Time / Full Time)

Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Administrator to join our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring the accuracy of our financial data. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial health of our organisation while developing your skills within a dynamic team environment. The position is full-time and suitable for individuals with a strong foundation in accounting practices and software.

Duties

Manage and maintain accurate financial records using recognised accounting software such as Pegasus Opera 3 or Sage
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently and accurately
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial data is correctly entered into the system
Assist with preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts as required
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures
Maintain organised filing systems for all financial documents and records
There are some aspects of customer service involved - to support the business, including answering incoming phone calls

Skills

Proficiency in integrated accounting software such as Pegasus Opera 3, or other similar business software
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general ledger management
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Prior experience in finance or administration roles is desirable but not essential; training will be provided where necessary

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year depending on experience
