Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Trainee Line Marking Operative to join our team. This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in line marking and surface maintenance within a dynamic environment. The position involves learning essential techniques and safety procedures, with the potential for career progression into management or specialised maintenance roles. The successful candidate will be eager to learn, reliable, and possess good communication skills to work effectively within a team.

Duties

Assist in the preparation and marking of lines on various surfaces, including roads, sports pitches, and industrial areas.
Support the application of line marking materials using specialised equipment under supervision.
Maintain and clean tools and machinery used in line marking operations.
Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
Help with surface inspections and minor surface maintenance tasks as directed.
Drive company vehicles to different sites when required, subject to holding a valid driving licence.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding job progress and safety concerns.

Qualifications

No prior experience necessary; full training will be provided.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Basic understanding of management principles is advantageous but not essential.
Ability to undertake maintenance tasks and operate simple machinery after training.
Valid driving licence is desirable for driving company vehicles between sites.
Reliable, punctual, organised, and eager to learn new skills. This role offers valuable hands-on experience in line marking operations with opportunities for professional development within the organisation.
