The Role

We are looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our well-established Estates and Facilities Directorate at Canterbury Christ Church University

A Kitchen Porter has various duties and responsibilities to perform. the job is focused on keeping the kitchen clean at all times in order to have a hygienic environment to ensure that all areas of the department meet the highest Food hygiene standards to meet health and safety regulations.

Receiving and accepting deliveries and a good understanding of stock rotation.

The Person

We are searching for a highly motivated individual with a flexible approach and be able to meet the expectations of providing a consistent and quality service to students, staff and external visitors.

The ideal candidate will be:

Team Player to be consistently working with colleagues to ensure the best service is offered
Delivering a first-class service to students, staff and external clients.
Working with the kitchen team in any outlet, assisting with deliveries, general cleaning and a good understanding of stock rotation.
Working to agreed clean rosters and maintaining hygiene standards within their area of work
Team player to be consistently working with colleagues to ensure the best service is offered
Able to work flexibly
Able to drive a manual vehicle with less than 6 points on licence.

Successful candidate must be able to drive to facilitate the transportation of stock to various outlets on and off site.
