Full job description

At Broomfield Village Care Home, our Reception Team plays an important role in creating a warm, welcoming, and professional first impression for our residents, families, visitors, and external professionals. We are looking for a friendly, organised, and compassionate Receptionist to join our team and provide excellent customer service while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the home.

As the first point of contact, you will welcome visitors to the home, answer incoming telephone calls, respond to emails, and ensure all enquiries are handled in a professional, helpful, and timely manner. You will provide a friendly and approachable service, ensuring residents, families, and visitors feel valued and supported from the moment they arrive.

The role will include a variety of administrative duties, including maintaining accurate records, managing correspondence, supporting with documentation, assisting with general office tasks, and ensuring information is processed and stored appropriately. You will work closely with different departments across the home, providing essential administrative support and helping to ensure effective communication.

Excellent customer service is at the heart of this role. You will build positive relationships with residents, their families, visitors, healthcare professionals, and suppliers, responding to queries with professionalism, empathy, and confidentiality. You will need to be confident managing a busy reception area, prioritising tasks, and remaining calm and organised in a fast-paced environment.

We are looking for someone who is approachable, reliable, and has excellent communication and organisational skills. Previous reception or administrative experience is desirable, along with a genuine passion for providing a high-quality service and contributing to a positive experience for everyone who enters our home.
