Overview

Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Kitchen Porter and become a vital part of delivering exceptional dining experiences! In this energetic role, you will support the kitchen operations by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment for both staff and guests. Duties

Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, work surfaces, utensils, and equipment to uphold health and safety standards
Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, and organizing supplies
Support chefs and kitchen staff in cooking activities by providing timely assistance when needed
Ensure proper storage of ingredients and supplies to prevent spoilage and maintain freshness
Clear and clean dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen tools efficiently during service hours
Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures to keep the kitchen tidy and environmentally friendly
Follow all health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe working environment for everyone

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen hygiene practices
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues
Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
Good physical stamina for standing long hours and performing manual tasks throughout the shift
