The Role

We are currently seeking a professional and motivated CCTV / Security Officer to join our team at The Meadows Shopping Centre. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a 4 on / 4 off day shift rota.

As a key member of the security team, you will play an important role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for tenants, visitors, contractors, and staff, while delivering outstanding customer service at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and operate CCTV systems in accordance with site procedures, legislation, and company policies.
Conduct regular patrols throughout the shopping centre and surrounding areas.
Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, emergencies, and security breaches.
Maintain a visible security presence to deter theft, anti-social behaviour, and other unwanted activity.
Liaise with emergency services and other external agencies when required.
Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate security records.
Assist customers, visitors, and tenants with enquiries in a professional and helpful manner.
Ensure compliance with all site-specific security procedures and Health & Safety regulations.

Candidate Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

A valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence or Security Guarding Licence.
A valid SIA CCTV (Public Space Surveillance) Licence.
Previous experience in a security and/or CCTV-related role.
Shopping centre or retail security experience (desirable but not essential).
Strong observational skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
A reliable, flexible, and professional approach to work.
The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
