We are looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join our team and contribute to the service delivery of a lean, effective and accurate finance function.

Responsibilities

Payroll - Processing weekly payroll ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.
Cashbook & Banking - posting bank transactions, posting weekly credit card posting and reconciliation and uploading payments to the bank for processing weekly and monthly
Purchase Ledger - Processing of all invoices, subcontractor payments and other accounts payable on the COINS system, ensuring accurate recording of information in a systematic way.
Sales Ledger - Code and post sales invoices for all contract, private and sundry income, reconciliation of month end SL balances and regularly chase outstanding debtors.
Reconciliations / Adho

- Preparation of monthly accruals and prepayments

- Cover for other members of finance team when on annual leave or absent.

- Cover (along with other members of the finance team) for the administration team when on annual leave or absent.

- Monthly nominal ledger reconciliations.

Knowledge / Skills

Previous experience working as a Finance assistant with an excellent understanding of Purchase Ledger
Basic book keeping skills and an understanding of debits and credits
Weekly payroll processing experience
Excellent IT skills and proficient with Excel
Experience of COINs ERP system would be advantageous
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
