Growing Up Green Day Nurseries are an established and successful small nursery group catering for children aged from birth to five years. Our dedicated team of passionate and caring professionals work tirelessly to build these important bonds, ensuring that every little one in our care feels valued as an individual, safe and confident in their learning journey.
Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Handy person or Maintenance professional to join help maintain our two nurseries . This role is vital in ensuring our nursery environment remains safe, functional, and welcoming for both staff and children. If you have a knack for maintenance and enjoy supporting a nurturing educational setting, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs within the nursery premises to ensure safety and functionality.
Have a great attention to detail and a creative eye!
Assist with the installation of equipment and upgrades.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance tools and supplies.
Collaborate with staff to address any facility-related concerns promptly.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Support the team by providing timely solutions to maintenance issues.
Qualifications
Proven experience in general repairs and maintenance including carpentry, building and plumbing knowledge.
Experience of working in an educational or care settings preferable.
Strong understanding of safety standards related to maintenance tasks.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills in English.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Have flexibility around working hours.
Customer service orientation is beneficial for interacting with staff.
An enhanced DBS will be required (which we can arrange)
