This is a brilliant opportunity for a nurse who enjoys the variety and pace of general practice and wants to make a real difference to the health and wellbeing of our local community.

You will be joining a friendly and collaborative team, working closely with our GPs, nurses, healthcare assistants, allied health professionals and wider practice team.

The role

This is a varied and rewarding role where you will have the opportunity to use and develop a wide range of clinical skills.

Your role will include:

Delivering high-quality chronic disease management clinics.
Providing a broad range of general practice nursing care.
Wound care and management.
Cervical screening.
Adult and childhood immunisations and vaccinations.
Travel health advice and vaccinations.
Health promotion, prevention and supporting patients to make positive lifestyle changes.
New patient health checks and opportunistic health promotion.
Supporting patients with long-term conditions.
Ear care.
Assisting with minor surgery where required.
Responding appropriately to urgent and emergency situations.
Working collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team.
Contributing to QOF, clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives.
Maintaining high standards of clinical governance, patient safety and record keeping.

We’re looking for someone who...

Is a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
Has experience in general practice nursing, or is keen to develop a career in primary care.
Has a recognised qualification in diabetes care or a keen desire to develop their knowledge and skills in this area.
Is enthusiastic, proactive and ready to get involved.
Enjoys working as part of a supportive and busy team.
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Is confident managing their own workload while knowing when to seek support.
Is passionate about delivering outstanding patient care.
Is committed to continued learning and professional development.
Brings energy, ideas and a positive attitude!
