Part-time Assistant Accounts Manager

Salary from £26,000 pro rata

About you: We’re looking for an experienced, motivated, and detail-focused individual to join our finance team. You’ll take pride in maintaining accuracy, supporting business performance, and working collaboratively across departments to ensure financial processes run smoothly and efficiently.

With a proactive attitude, strong organisational skills, and a professional yet approachable manner, you’ll play a key role in supporting the continued success of the Beercocks team.

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:

AAT qualification
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
The ability to work independently while also being a strong team player
Experience with Sage Accounts & Payroll
Strong Excel and spreadsheet skills
Excellent organisation and time management skills
A commercially aware and proactive approach
Previous payroll experience

What your day-to-day will look like: Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll support the smooth running of the finance department across a range of accounting and payroll responsibilities. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external accountants, helping to maintain accurate financial records and support key business reporting processes.

Key responsibilities:

Supporting the management of financial accounts and payroll processes
Assisting with postings to the nominal ledger across departments
Supporting the month-end process, including journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting
Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts and KPI reporting
Monitoring costs and efficiencies to support business performance
Supporting cash flow forecasting
Working closely with the Accounts Assistant and Credit Controller
Liaising with external accountants where required
